oh my gosh, i feel like i've just finished a marathon. i wrote the words "The End" on my manuscript just a bit ago. YEEEEEEEEEHAW! my fingers were burning up the keys as i came to the end, and i'm so happy with how it all turns out in the end. my fingers did good. i didn't usually have any idea what they were going to write. oh man. i'm exhausted. spent. so incredibly relieved and happy. sigh. well, who knows, maybe one of these days you'll see the debut novel of laura stoddard sitting on the shelf in your local book store. :)

EXCITING NEWS EVERYBODY! I AM ALMOST FINISHED WITH MY BOOK! IT WAS A 4 DAY WEEKEND FOR US GOVERNMENT WORKERS AND I USED EVERY SPARE MINUTE OF IT TO BANG OUT ALL THE IDEAS IN MY HEAD. I EXPECT TO BE ABLE TO WRITE THE WORDS "THE END" LATER THIS WEEK. AHHHHH! I'M SO EXCITED! I'VE BEEN WORKING ON THIS THING FOR YEARS. NEVER THOUGHT I'D FINISH, TO BE HONEST WITH YOU, BUT SOMETIMES YOU SURPRISE YOURSELF...ANYWAY, JUST HAD TO SHARE!

i was hiding in the gigantic bathtub, holding up my camera, and later i saw that i caught little Caleb sneaking up on me. LOL!

on our last night, mom and i got to listen to a Native American tell some neat stories and play his many magical fluits (no fart jokes-please)

Trip to Sedona

Mom, Dad, Kathryn, Cannon, Caleb and I just returned from a DELIGHTFUL trip to Sedona. It's so great to be able drive up to cooler weather and snow in just 2 hours (4 if you're driving with the Mixes). :) we wore big puffy resort robes and enjoyed the hot tub and steam room, sat around the camp fire looking up at the stars, walked through the cute shops, chased little Bear Cub around non-stop, sniffled and sneezed a lot (and snored, apparently), and learned that we all enjoy playing pool. it was so nice. the sky was so clear, and the red rocks surround you on every side. just fab. anyway, here are some videos and pics. enjoy!

Family Trip to Sedona

i just had to put this picture up, because i think its hilarious. fat cat slept this way all afternoon. harharharhar! Anyway, we went to a parade in phoenix yesterday (for the Fiesta Bowl or the Insight Bowl or the Bread Bowl or something), and we had a blast, so here are some random videos. :)
