lunch excursion

Me and mama went down to the 9/11 Memorial at Tempe Town Lake for lunch today. there was a nice little breeze, so the thousands of american flags were blowing prettily. quite enjoyable. mom suggested that we go check out the inside of the Tempe Arts Center (which i've always made fun of because of the look of the building itself--can we say witch's hat?), but inside we actually got led around on a behind-the-scenes tour by a gal mom knows. and knowing how lolly likes her theaters, it was a great little treat!

Thanks for lunching w/ me today Laura. It was a great way to commemorate 9/11 and see the progress we've made since then by touring the TCA. In times of trouble and stress, expressions through art, music and dance become therapy - a way to lift our spirits and a way to internalize the tragedies around us.
